  • My Top 3 Lip Products

If there's one thing that can completely change the look and feel of your makeup with a single application, that's lip colour.

This post is actually a collaboration with two other awesome bloggers who are from my area of Newcastle, NSW; Aussie Beauty Talk and Permanent Procrastination. So head over to their page's to check out their posts and discover some more awesome lip product recommendations. But for right now, here are my top three!

I'm not really one to wear bold, darker colours often, but I do find myself gravitating towards them in the store, and absolutely love the look they give when I do find the confidence to wear them.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil - Train Bleu

I had been lusting to get my hands on another NARS product, though I had no idea what I wanted. When I was in Sydney and I found a NARS counter, as soon as I saw these lip pencils I had to have one. I didn't have anything else like it, all my other lip products were your normal lipsticks, and as I said I'm draw to bold, dark colours. This one can get a bit patchy after being worn for a couple of hours, but I'm yet to get my hands on a matching lip liner, and I think that could make a major difference.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick - Violet Frenzy

When I purchased this one, it was my first lipstick in purchase in an extremellyyyyyyy long time. I was dying to try a purple colour, and so I grabbed one of the first dark purples I found, luckily I ended up loving it. This lipstick is buildable, so depending on how dark you want to go, will depend how much you layer on. Again I need to find a matching lip liner to really nail the application of this one.

    BYS Lipstick

I think this was the first lipstick I owned, and I think my Mum brought it for some dance or show I was in and needed a red lip for. Back then I didn't really appreciate the product because it's taken me a long while to get into lip colour, but I've recently been using this again and man does it have a seriously good colour pay off. It also stays on the lips quite well; it does transfer very, very easy, but considering how much it transfers the colour does also stick to your lips fairly well. BYS are a cheaper brand, but I think for the price point this is a pretty good product.

    1. Love that we both included a NARS velvet matte lip pencil! I've been eyeing off Train Bleu for a while. Also, really digging that Revlon purple
