  • A Week of Events

This week feels like it's been non-stop. I had a regular day Monday and half of Tuesday. I then travelled to my parent's place where I crashed for the rest of the week so I could cut down my travel times to Sydney, and also got my roots touched up (thanks mum). On the Wednesday I attended the annual Priceline Beauty Prescriptionion event. This was my second time attending, and I love it! Not only do we get insights into upcoming beauty trends and what's been happening with Priceline, the acccompaying trade show means we get a literal trolly full of goodies, most of which haven't even launched in store yet. Now that I'm finally home I plan on creating a post or two showcasing what will be relased in Priceline over the coming months, so stay tuned for that because there's some killer stuff coming our way.  I'm also thinking about doing some fashion posts featuring the outfits I wore over the week. I was up at 5.30am to get there though, and was late thanks to a GPS misunderstanding (a more formal way to say 'I got lost') and when I got home I was buggered, but I still managed to get some blog and Uni work in (those assessments aren't going to do themselves).

Thursday I didn't have any events, but the day was filled with hanging out with my Mum at bingo. Laugh if you want, say that sounds boring, honestly, it's kind of fun. We didn't win this time around, but it was something different to my usual routine to fill in the day.

On Friday I attended an event called 9 To Thrive hosted by Business Chicks. It featured panels all day with various women (influencers, CEOs, business owners, and just downright powerhouse, inspring women) chatting on all sorts of subjects, as well as a trade show full of stands and stalls from various brands (I picked up some serious bargains at the Benefit stall). Again, I was up at 5.30am and didn't get home till about 5pm. The event did run into the Saturday as well, and while I had every intention on making it to the two days, I just didn't think I could muster the energy for a third Sydney trip. After three non-stop days and mornings of waking up before the sun (when my usual wake up time is either 7 or 8am), my body had had enough. It was an awesome week though, and it was nice to shake up my usual rountine a bit, and I feel so grateful to have been invited along to so many awesome things.

Speaking of awesome events, this coming Thursday my friend and I will be attending a dinner/cocktail party in Sydney for a makeup brand. I've never been to an event like this before, so I'm not quite sure what to except, but again, it's something different to shake up my routine, and I think it's going to be a pretty fun night (I'll be sure to get back to you on my experience).

Let me know how your week/weekend was and what you got up to?
