  • Peony Parcel: The Embrace Edition

I've talked about Peony Parcel a couple of times on my blog now; check back here and here to find out more on what these guys are all about. The team behind this subscription box are nothing short of amazing and lovely, and they were generous enough to send out to me their box for this month; The Embrace Edition. So here's a little look of what's inside.

The last Peony Parcel featured some bath salts from Nina Bailey which were absolutely divine, and this time the box features her pillow mist. Pillow mists are something that have been around for quite a while, but I never really got into them, but this stuff is great. As this is a scent that will be on your pillow and therefore right near your nose, you do need to love the scent you're putting on your bedding. If you are a fan of Lavender however, there are many recorded benefits of having the scent circulating around, including helping to reduce anxiety, insomnia and restlessness, and relieve pain from headaches, toothaches or sores.

I have yet to throw this little beauty in the bath, it's so just wonderful looking I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the fact I need to destroy it. This cold weather though means I'll probably be sinking into a nice warm bath with the remanents of this floating around me soon. These bath bombs are smaller than your average Lush bath bomb, and the back of them is actually flat instead of being a full sphere shape. They would make a great present to treat a friend or to treat yoself.

As I'm writing this I've just used this scrub for the first time, and I have to say I'm really impressed. Now, I'm not a huge fan of the scent, and when you open the container it is quite overwhelming. However, I can easily look past it because this stuff works wonders. I used this over my bathroom sink, scooping a little handful out. It is quite abrasive so I'd say just work slowly and gently with it. After washing it off, my hands have never been softer, and the oils in the product meant I didn't even have to use a hand cream afterwards. The scent does linger on your hand, so if you're not a fan you could just pop a little of your favourite hand cream over the top to cover up the scent a bit. It's also meant to be great on your feet, so I think I'm going to have to give that a go next because I'm seriously impressed.

These lasted in my house I think about two days. I feel like I've seen this brand around before but this was my first time trying anything from them. I did enjoy these, but I'm not sure I'll be rushing out to buy more anytime soon. The taste of them, for me, was a bit too sweet. Their mini size was great because after having one with a cup of tea it was more than enough for me. It was kind of good to be restrained from not wanting to eat the entire packet in one go. Reviewing food can be a hard one because everyone has different tastes, but I'd certainly recommend going and finding some to try for yourself.

A lipblam never goes astray for me, particularly with this cooler weather, my lips seem to be struggling to hold on to any moisture at the minute. This lipblam is great for people who don't like anything with much of a scent but just want some good hydration. There is pretty much no scent or taste to this lipbalm and it's nice and smooth on the lips, and most importantly, leaves them feeling hydrated and ready to take on those winter winds.

    1. What a lovely box! Gorgeous products and that Bath Bomb . The Freya rose hand scrubs sounds like something I would love. I work my hands a lot cooking, cleaning, taking photographs but never seems to have the time to 'pamper' them
