  • NEW IN (ft Bobbi Brown, Neutrogena, Odacite & More)

It feels like I haven't done one of these in a while, but I've had a bunch of new products sitting on my desk lately just waiting for me to tell you about. So here's round up of some new bits and bobs that have been coming in to my life lately in the world of skincare and makeup (spoiler alert: there's some damn good stuff).

In case you missed it, I recently did a little Instagram post on this stuff. Australian summer is just around the corner, so stocking up on things like sunscreen is becoming more and more essential as the days roll on. You know what sucks about putting on sunscreen though, apart from sometimes the smell, when it leaves your face looking and feeling super oily, and if your me, that means a high chance of breakout city later on. This stuff however as a light-weight, non-greasy formula so it's perfect for lathering all over your face. Not to mention the zinc in the sunscreen is 100% naturally sourced, so you can feel good in more ways than one when putting this stuff on.

I love when brands manage to give a classic, everyday product a bit of a twist. After being inspired by a trip to Japan, Odacite created this cleanser, which contains matcha and spirulina, a combination that will give your face a deep cleanse to help get rid of all the yucky stuff in your skin and leave you feeling clean and refreshed. This stuff is also pretty cool because, though it starts as a powder, once you start massaging it into your face, the product transforms into a foam. My only advice would be don't get to close to the powder when trying to smell it, it will end up all in your throat and there's nothing pleasant about that.

I need to start off by warning, this isn't a cheap product, it will set you back about $200. This new product aims to be the latest in advanced technology for tackling anti-aging. With a combination of ferulic acid, ascorbic acid and their exclusive Protech-Cell Complex, this product protects your skin from UVB, UVA, IR and visible light (HEV) to help keep it looking young and toned. Oxidation is the main cause of ageing skin, and this process can be speed up by exposure to the sun, pollution, stress, artificial lighting, poor sleeping patterns and a number of other things. This product aim to help protect your sensitive face from all of that, and keep you looking younger for longer.

There's a bunch of new products ready to grab from the wonderful brand Antipodes, who I've mentioned a couple of times on the blog before and would 10/10 recommend to anyone considering giving them a go. Firstly, I'm always interested when I see a product placed into packaging I've never seen before; I'm interested to see how easy this cleanser is to use in a tube form. As with all their products, this cleanser is filled with plenty of good stuff for your skin. Avocado oil, marigold bloom and super anti-oxidant Vinanza Oxifend make for a soothing, softening and refreshing combination. I always find cream cleanser to be the perfect first step to getting makeup off my face at the end of the day.

This cream has a light, non-oily formula, which is not only exactly what you want during the day so your face doesn't become shiner than your future, but for those who know me, it means my face will get along with it and won't result in having a little breakout party. Like the cleanser, this stuff also has avocado oil which helps to nourish your face and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains Manuka flower oil which aims to hep reduce the chance of any blemishes coming to say hi on your face.

I don't know what I was doing with myself before I added a serum into my skincare routine. I might have saved myself a little extra time in the morning, but my skin has been thanking me for it ever since. This one from Antipodes is water based, and like any good serum should, aims to even out your skin tone, reduce redness and brighten dull skin. It also contains little exfoliating enzymes so your skin will be left feeling super smooth and simply glorious.

The newest weapon in the fight against dark circles. This full coverage concealer has high pigmentation to tackle even the darkest of under circles. The concealer has a non-drying formula, which is super important for helping keep your under eyes looking fleek in the long term, and it's also long-wearing so it can handle when you start getting a little hot and sweaty during the day in the Australian summer.

I was introduced to this brand after they sent me one of their concealers, which was so light and bright it made me look so wide awake you might have thought I'd just had a peaceful, non interrupted eight hours of sleep. They have some new products out called 'multitaskers', and the name pretty much says it all. The first product are their new colour pots. These are a multi-use balm that you could throw on your lips or cheeks to add a bit of colour to your day. The shade picture here is called Harmony.

The other new product from these guys are their vanilla highlighters. This cream product doesn't just belong on your cheeks however, you can pop some on your brow bone, eyelids, lips or all three to make your face really shine and catch that hot guys attention. The shade pictured here is Falling Star.

    1. The Ere Perez products look so lovely! I have to say I’m still not 100% sure on the Bobbi brown concealer though...
