  • Brand Focus: OBAGI

If you haven't heard of OBAGI before, these guys are a specialty pharmaceutical company with products that are designed to tackle a range of skin issues including hyperpigmentation, acne and sun damage, and also help to minimize the appearance of premature skin aging. Now you won't just find these guys sitting on the shelves at your local Priceline or supermarket because they contain 4% prescription hydroquinone, so they are available only through physicians, medical spas and other skin care and medical professionals. If you see them being sold anywhere online then be cautious, because they are most likely not genius OBAGI products. Today I have a bunch of products from their Nu-Derm System range to share my thoughts on. This range caters for normal to dry skin, but I found even though I can sometimes be a little on the oily side, they still worked pretty well for me. This range aims to tackle various skin issues including hyperpigmentation, dark spots, melasma and the appearance of aging skin.

    Gentle Cleanser
I just recently finished this stuff and I have to say I liked it. As a gel consistency it foamed up well and left my face feeling nice and clean. It had a nice woody, natural scent and I honestly think the only downfall of this product is the packaging. As you get towards the end of the product, trying to get the last of the product out of this tub-like bottle can prove difficult.

First of all, I kind of loved that the colour of this product was blue, something a little different from the rest. This toner is gentle enough that it doesn't hurt the eyes, but still manages to be strong enough to help remove any remaining dirt and makeup after the shower. While again it's a great product, the packaging does let it down. This stuff is certainly not travel friendly, the one time I did travel with it in my makeup bag, it somehow managed to leak out the cap and go everywhere.

    Skin Smoothing Lotion
I love having this stuff to travel for its compact size, but it's also a great product. While it aims to actually exfoliate the top layer of your skin, it manages to leave it feeling hydrated as well as smooth. Again, the packaging can be frustrating to use as you get towards the end of the product, but I have to say the fact it was made to be stored upside makes it a little easier.
