  • Packing for Bali (Skincare & Beauty)

Tomorrow I'm going to be jumping on a plane to head off to Bali for a little holiday. I'm going over with a bunch of my friends from Uni to celebrate finishing our five years at Uni and just spend some time together chilling out before we all go off into the world to do adult things. I thought I'd share some of the skincare and beauty items I'll be taking over to deal with the hot and humid climate.

A holiday in Bali basically consists of either swimming in the ocean or a pool, or walking around in the hot, humid and sweaty weather. This means that packing on makeup, even if going out at night, isn't really worth it because it will just sweat off your face, and this can also mean your face has some serious dirt build up during the day. So when it comes to packing beauty and skincare for the trip I stick to a light makeup routine but still take over most of my usual skincare.

    Beauty
Nivea Daily Essentials Tinted Moisturising Day Cream & Nivea Q10 Anti-Wrinkle CC Daily Moisturiser
I'll be taking both of these over with me. Being tinted moisturisers they give a lighter coverage, and particularly the CC (Colour Correcting) moisturiser will come in handy if I happen to get a little red from sunburn at any point on the trip.

    Rimmel Stay Matte Primer
With the heat and humidity a primer is a must!

    NARS Matte Eyeshadow - Blondie

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
While this is a heavier makeup product, this stuff is the best I own for keeping oil and shine at bay. So to combat that in the hot weather a little dust of this over my face should be perfect.

    Beauty Essentials Bronzer

    Ardell Gel Fiber - Taupe

    e.l.f Mineral Infused Mascara

Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara

Essence All Eyes on Me Waterproof Mascara
Because of course when it's hot, sweaty and you're likely to just want to throw yourself in a pool of water on a minutes notice to cool down, waterproof mascara is a must.

    Skincare
Sukin Oil Balancing Mattifying Facial Moisturiser
Any product with the word matte in it was 100% coming along with me, particularly for any day time skincare needs.

    Dermalogica Oil Free Matte spf30
Of course I'll be taking along a bigger bottle of sunscreen than this, but this stuff is perfect for your face because it doesn't leave it looking oily (see me rave more about it here, here and here).

    Sensodyne Repair and Protect Toothpaste
Of course everyone is going to pack toothpaste when they travel, and I know that this really doesn't fit into the skincare category, however I wanted to include this product to mention the size - it's perfect for travel. I was actually given this last time I went to my dentist because this type of toothpaste in particular is perfect for my teeth needs - so if you're making a trip to the dentist soon and you're able to get your hands on some smaller sample sizes, they're perfect to hold on to for any trips. If you don't plan on heading to the dentist any time soon (and I don't blame you) I'm sure a little scour of the Internet would find you something similar.
