  • Time for another look at some of the wonderful products that have been coming through my mailbox lately (so many good smelling things!)

One of my favourite things to find is awesome haircare. If my dry hair soaks it up it must be good stuff, and I've most recently had an 'I'm in love' moment with these little capsules of hair oil from Troppicoco. Every time I pop this product through my damp hair before drying it (along with some heat protectant) my hair comes out feeling so silky and smooth. People have also been commenting on how shiny my hair looks lately. I thought one capsule wouldn't be enough for my thirsty hair, but it seems to pack a punch. Another bonus is they're vegan!

The minute I opened that mail package I could smell just how amazing these were! You've probably seen some candles and diffusers from these guys floating around my blog before, and I've always been impressed with the lasting scent of those, so I was really excited to give their soap a go (sounds a little weird, but if you could honestly smell these you would completely understand). These bars aren't drying on the skin at all and my bathroom always smells amazing after I use them. Also they're an Australian owned business which just makes it even better (I'm probably a bit bias there).

If you have the room to spend a little bit extra on your skincare (which if you're going to invest in anything, why wouldn't it be your skin, it's with you for life after all), this product from Medik8 is something worth checking out. I've sworn by having a serum in my skincare routine since the moment I started using one and I've had some hit and misses in my time, but this stuff is a massive hit! Using this product has made my skin feel so much more hydrated, especially during this colder weather, and overall it feels smoother and looks so much healthier and happier.

A bit about the product and how it works - this is a serum you keep on hand for use at night to let your skin really soak up the benefits. With most serums, when you apply them to your skin it first converts to retinaldehyde and then to retinoic acid, which you skin soaks up to repair itself. The Crystal Retinal product from Medki8 however converts to retinoic acid first go, meaning your skin can soak up the benefits 11x faster than usual. This helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, make your skin feel smoother and all that good anti-aging stuff.

I pretty much don't have an excuse to have dry hands for the rest of my life after this sweet delivery from Crabtree & Evelyn; a tin filled with little travel sizes of some of their best selling hand creams.  Not only is the packaging super fun with vintage vibes, they have also just dropped their brand new Autumn Winter 2018 line, that will not only leave your hands feeling soft but also smelling amazing. I currently have a full-sized tube of their hand cream that sits religiously by my bed and I couldn't live without it.

The collections from Erstwilder never stop being cute. This pin is from one of their newest lines, Erstwilder x Rocky Horror - a classic! This is the Wild and Untamed pin and it just adds a cool and edgy look to any outfit you add it to. Also, it doesn't scream 'I'm wearing a Rocky Horror Picture Show inspired brooch', so if the musical isn't your thing but you still love the pin, no one needs to know.

The weekends always seem to fly by so quickly lately. This Saturday just gone, my mum and I were treated to a wonderful lunch at the recently renovated Shoal Bay Country Club. The club has recently undergone a $6 million refurbishment that has transformed the club from a run-down venue into a place with a vibe I absolutely love.

Aiming to give the Port Stephens area a place with a bit of a cosmopolitan feel, the new colour scheme and design just screams summer. The pastel colours combined with an amazing array of plants (which is probably why I love it so much) make you instantly feel relaxed when you walk in, and because it's literally across the road from the beach, you can pop out for a swim when you're done. There are a few different areas where you can either sit and eat or grab a drink and relax, and each is just picture perfect.

Seated in the main dining area, which sits upstairs and looks straight across the picturesque water view across the road, mum and I decided to try out their Peri Peri Chicken pizza and also went for a classic Chicken Schnitzel. The food was on point and you certainly get what you pay for; we had to take the rest of ours home because they certainly don't skimp on portion sizes. I also grabbed an iced coffee. I normally ask for no cream and ice-cream but this time I completely forget - not that I'm complaining because it was hella yummy!

If you're looking to have a nice day out with friends, family or other loved ones, maybe you want somewhere special to head for an afternoon drink or you need a spot for your next event, I highly recommend checking out the new Shoal Bay Country Club - the Instagram photo spot opportunities are endless!

Thank you to the Shoal Bay Country Club for hosting us and providing a complimentary meal and to the wonderful staff who served us during our visit.x.

I've been trying to cut refined sugar out of my diet as much as possible lately, but the latest collection from Models Own certainly has made me feel tempted to go out and buy a stack of doughnuts. I love when a brand brings out a super fun and eye-catching collection, and there's no denying that the Models Own Cheat Day collection is certainly that. Clearly inspired by all things pink, sugary and damn delicious tasting, the range also has a stack of super cool and beautiful looking products.

A perfectly beautiful and stunning range of highlighter shades. No matter what kind of colour sheen you prefer with your highlighter, this palette has you covered. The powders are super lightweight and offer a variety of shine depending on your preference. If you're wanting something a little more subtle, the lighter pink is your go-to. If you want people to be blinded and stopped in the street by your on-fleek highlighter, the other two will get the job done.

The minute these came out of the packaging I could wait to whack them on my lips; I was instantly sucked in by the beautiful metallic colours. These are liquid lipsticks, so they dry down and won't be moving around on you throughout the night. They have an incredible colour payoff and the lightweight formula means your lips are left feeling super dry or like the product is going to flake off. Build up the intensity for a bolder look, or maybe add a little sheen to your favourite lip colour for just a little something extra.

Now I get the point of this product; when the lid is on, the little circles look like rows of doughnuts - but does anyone else just think with the lid off they look like funny little nipples, I'm just saying. That aside, the product itself is actually awesome and the brand has brought to life a pretty cool concept. If you haven't yet mastered putting together complementary colours for a cool eyeshadow look, this palette does all the work for you. Each pan contains two shades that not only go together perfectly, but will create an eye-catching and high impact look. Of course that doesn't mean you can't get a little creative and mix whichever colours you like. Some of the mattes may need a little bit of build up to get a real stand out colour, but that allows for you to really control the intensity of your look.

While I'm normally one for a vintage tee, some jeans (usually with a rip in them somewhere) and some boots, that doesn't mean I don't know how to throw on a girly outfit every now and then.

With the winter chill certainly in the air here in Australia, this outfit has been perfect for those casual Fridays at work. It's super warm thanks to this thick, long sleeved crop from Zaful, and I love the flared sleeves and added detail with the black piping.

I'm also obsessed with this jumpsuit from Valleygirl. Not only is the gingham print right on trend, it fits perfectly into a work setting while still looking cute and being the comfiest thing to wear during a long day at the office. Every time I'm out and about people always stop and ask where the jumpsuit is from; that's how you know you're onto a winner. Unfortunately it no longer seems to be available online, but they do have this cute, striped one which is of a similar style and now I also really want.

It's time to dive inside the contents of this month's little blue Bellabox!

Hair products, particularly ones that help with or change the colour of your hair ,always excite me. So I was pretty pumped to see this new product from Revlon in my latest Bellabox. If you've got colour-treated hair and you want to keep your colour looking fresh but also want to help keep it hydrated and protected, the new Nutri Colour Creme range from Revlon is something you might want to check out. Not only will this range help upkeep the colour of your hair, it will moisture, nourish, detangle and help to give it some healthy shine. Keep an eye on my Instagram for how I get along with this product.

By now you've probably heard the fuss about charcoal and how it can help to detoxify your mouth and give you a little whitening along the way. If you're not to keen on keeping a literally tub of the black powder in your bathroom and making a mess of your sink every time you want to use it, this toothpaste from White Glo is going to be your saviour. With activated charcoal already in a toothpaste form, you can easily give your teeth a little extra care every morning and night, though I can't guarantee you'll suddenly stop somehow always ending up with toothpaste stains on your work clothes.

    Model Co Baked Highlighter
I'm such a sucker for a pretty highlighter, so I was drawn right into this one from Model Co. Not only will this give you a stunning glow, it will also add some colour to really give you that sun-kissed, radiant look. The compact size means it's also super easy to travel with and give your skin a on-the-go perk up during the day.

I'm always excited to try out new La Roche-Posay products; they just seem to nail skincare every time. For anyone with acne-prone and oily skin out there, listen a little closer to this one. This toning mist has been specifically designed to tackle your skin issues and contains just three ingredients to get the job done; healing zinc sulphate (0.10%), astringent sodium chloride (0.75%) and purified water. Together these ingredients help to make your skin feel refreshed and hydrated, all in a super easy (and fun) to use spray can.

Just reading the name of this product, I had a feeling it was going to contain some amazing, skin transforming powers. While I might be overselling it a little bit, Korean skincare has been taking the market by storm lately and there's a good reason for it, because they're products freaking work. This essence is good for all skin types to use and aims to target any problem acne and increase collagen production to help remove those fine lines and wrinkles. While it may contain snail secretion filtrate and bee venom, the other awesome thing is this product is certified cruelty-free by PETA.

This is the second time I've received a sample size of this product and I have a feeling it may have been in another Bellabox of mine at some other point in time. I love this stuff and I really need to get my hands on a full size. A little goes a long way and when I put this stuff on at night my skin feels so smooth, soft and hydrated and ready to soak up all the benefits while I sleep. When something feels this nice on your skin it just has to be good right?

When I saw the shiny packaging of some Peter Thomas Roth products in my mail, I couldn't wait to dive in and try these out; just looking at them made me feel 10x more glam. Not only does the packaging of this brand look amazing, the ingredients and benefits packed inside the products are also spot on and they will tackle a varying range of skin issues and concerns.

    24K Gold Mask
If this stuff doesn't make you feel luxurious when you use it, I don't know what will. I was so excited to test out this product, mainly so I could feel super bougie and have a face covered in gold. It was just as much fun as I hoped it would be, but there are also a lot of benefits packed into this sparkling product.  Yes, there is some Pure 24K Gold and Colloidal Gold infused into this product, which helps to improve the firmness of your skin and give it a bit of a glow. The caffeine helps to fight fatigue and make your skin look firmer and tighter, while the presence of Peridot, an gemstone that is rich in magnesium, helps to re-energise the face and take away aging and stress. After having this on, my skin certainly felt a lot smoother and refreshed. As someone who is quite use to working with clay masks, the rubbery texture of this was pretty funny to work with at first, but it does feel super refreshing to apply to the face.

If you want something that is going to make your whole face light up, while hiding and fighting ageing, you need to check this stuff out! I find a little goes a long way with this stuff, unless you want to blind everyone who walks past you on the street, and I'll apply a little bit of this before I do my makeup. This product does aim to hydrate your face, so you can use this in place of your regular moisturiser to give your skin a dewy, refreshed look.

The name of this product is probably giving you a visualisation of hydrated and soft, touchable skin, which is exactly what this moisturiser will help you to achieve. This super hydrating cream will give your skin an intense burst of hydration which can last for up to 72 hours. I however like to use this product at night and let it sink into my skin as I sleep. As I wash my face each morning, it doesn't get the chance to be on there for 72 hours, but something like this would be a lifesaver for a long plane trip or to fight the drying effects a bitterly cold wind.

While I may have had a whole other outfit planned to wear to the Groovin the Moo festival this year, a last minute purchase of this Harley Davidson oversized mens t-shirt (which I got second hand through Facebook Marketplace so I can't link, sorry) saw me completely change my outfit choice the night before. So the next day, before the festival, I made my way to Target and grabbed myself these fishnets to complete the look.

My new Doc Martens where a part of my original festival outfit idea, and I'm so happy I finally have a pair in my wardrobe. I've been eyeing off Doc Martens for years, and when I saw they had a new platform version out I just knew I had to get them; and I used the upcoming festival as the perfect excuse to finally make the purchase. I struggled to find these in stock online in my size, but I eventually came across a pair on Dolls Kill for cheaper than I'd see anywhere else!

This backpack from Gamiss didn't actually make it with me to the festival, I just used a Mimco shoulder bag I've had for years and always wear out on town. However when I was putting this look back together to shoot some photos (because I got to caught up in the day and didn't get any of my outfit at the actual festival), I stumbled across the bag and realised how perfectly it went with my outfit and how I probably should have taken it with me.
