  • I have been dying to add a pair of camo pants to my wardrobe since the trend took off. While they are in abundance online, I always struggled to find some instore for me to try on to be sure they weren't going to look ridcuiulsy baggy and unflattering on me. So when I saw this pair from Ava and Ever in City Beach, I didn't even hesitate to pick up a pair and head straight to the change rooms. The second I put these on I knew these were going to become my go-to pants for the winter. The tighter fit around the waist means they give a flattering shape, they're comfy as hell and the pattern means your outfit instantly goes from nothing to something with no effort. I've worn these at least once every weekend since I've got them and they're going to be the centre piece for my next festival outfit. Here I've paired them with this top I brought from Cotton On and cropped myself and this gun-metal grey chain necklace to add a grunge, but a little glam, to the look. All I want to do now is buy more cargo pants to add to my wardrobe to wear all winter long.

I've always been a fan of the John Frieda brand because they make hair products for a variety of hair types and situations that work well and don't cost an arm and a leg. Their most recent collection is the Luxurious Volume line which, as you can probably gather from the name, aims to give your hair some lasting volume that doesn't make your hair feel heavy and untouchable.

This conditioner contains Protein-Strength Complex which aims to help give your hair fullness while still detangling and conditioning.  Due to my hair being colour treated, I find I can't use this every wash otherwise my hair does start to dry out a little to much, but if I'm looking to add a little extra volume for a day or night look, this is definitely something I find myself reaching for. The clear colour of the conditioner still trips me out and intrigues me, but overall it certainly lives up to it's name of giving volumised hair and I would recommend if you're looking for something to give you a little bit of an extra lift without much effort.

This shampoo also contains the same Protein-Strength Complex and aims to give your hair, no matter how thin, a bunch of volume while still feeling soft. If you're looking for ultimate volume and don't have hair that has a tendency to be dry like mine, then using this is in combination with the conditioner will certainly be a winner. As someone who is forever combating dryness in my hair I have to avoid using these two in combination, otherwise my hair won't be feeling soft and touchable. That said, using this in combination with my usual conditioner still helps to leave my hair feeling nice and clean and adds a little extra volume.

    Core Restore Protein Volumiser
I love testing out products like this that you use once you've jumped out of the shower because I feel this is where the real magic happens, or doesn't. This product aims to strength your hair fibres to leave your locks feeling soft, while also infusing your hair with a Protein-Strength Complex to help add some strength back into your hair while also giving it some volume. This complex is heat-activated, so pop this stuff in before you start blow drying and styling, and it also claims to be safe for colour-treated hair. I always use a product like this in conjunction with a heat protectant just to be safe, and I have to say my hair certainly feels a little better when using this than it does without, which is usually the case for my hair when it comes to products like this. So if you're like me and need something to help combat your dryness before you start styling, but you don't want your hair falling completely flat on your head, give this stuff a whirl.

You know when you just walk into a store and you have to have the clothing item hanging on the rack; that was my reaction when I saw both this t-shirt dress in Cotton On and this pleather jacket from Arrow and Sol . These two clothing items scream me, and even more so when I pair them together. I've also added this bag from The Lair; this was my first ever bag purchase from them, and even after a couple of years of use it's still standing strong and I still love it.

If you've been following me on Instagram then you would know that last weekend Rubi, the brand that has been bringing us killer kicks for years, has now launched their own jewellery range. If you're looking for either simple, statement or trendy pieces in a range of metals and vibrant colours, that also won't make your bank account sad, then you have to check it out. I was able to get my hands on a few of the pieces including their Double Hoop Bar Tassel Earrings, the Runway Tassel Statement Earrings and this beautiful layered necklace (I couldn't find the online link).

The earrings are something I wouldn't usually go for, but as I've been wearing them I've found myself loving them more and more. I'm also all about layered necklaces at the minute - the perfect lazy girls way to look like you've put thought in to your accessory combinations.

I recently received a few sample sizes of some products from Ocinium to try, so I thought I'd share with you my thoughts on the brand. For a quick bit of background, this guys are an Australian, natural skincare brand that use only ethically sourced ingredients and sustainable manufacturing and packaging. Their products are also free of parabens, phthalates, sulphates, artificial colours, fragrances and any animal testing.

    Immortelle Vitamin B3 Serum
This serum contains a combination of B-vitmains to help hydrate and rebalance your skin while protecting it from UV damage and pigmentation. With a blend of botanical compounds, this serum aims to help boost your skin's immune response and stops water loss to keep it hydrated all day long.
When I first applied this, it felt a bit oily to me and I thought this was a product I wouldn't be able to use, but then I found it sunk into my skin so quickly and didn't leave me feeling oily at all. You don't need to use much of this and it leaves my skin feeling so nice and soft. I also love the scent of this product; it has a somewhat sweet, but not overly powerful, scent that makes me feel so lux.

This cream aims to help hydrate and moisturise your skin while also protecting it against environmental stresses such as pollution. It also helps to stimulate natural collagen production to keep your skin looking youthful and radiant. This cream isn't overly thick, but the super hydrating formula means I would probably prefer to use this at night so my skin can soak up all the benefits while I sleep. Again, I love the scent of this stuff! A slightly sweet but floral scent that smells like something you would get to use at a fancy spa (and who doesn't want to feel fancy in their own home).

    Ecdysis Bio-Ferment Enzyme Cleanse
This products aims to help clean the skin of dirt and makeup while also maintaining moisture and hydration. Containing niacinamide, alpha-hydroxy acids and papain enzymes, this cream cleanser helps to balance the natural probiotics in our skin while also exfoliating it to help make it brighter. This product doesn't foam up all that much, like most cream cleansers, but it feels nice on the skin and its a very soft exfoliantThe scent is just as lovely as their other products and it left my skin feeling nice and smooth and clean after use.

I've had an influx of products coming through my mailbox lately and wanted to share some of my thoughts on them; keep on reading!

Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon Transformative Night Gel-Cream
As the latest product from the Dermalogica range, I have to say first off that I think the packaging is really cool. I love that it's very easy to lock and unlock the product because it means this product will be super easy and safe to travel with (hopefully zero spillage). This cream contains Persian Silk Tree Extract, Wu-Zhu-Yu Extract, Tamarind Seed Polysaccharide and Australian Kakadu Plum Extract to help rid your face of signs of fatigue and make you look hydrated and radiant. The gel product is nice and lightweight and has a natural, lavender scent, which makes sense considering the name of this product and the properties in lavender which help you sleep more soundly at night. I find a little goes a long way with this stuff and it feels so hydrating on the skin.

I'm such a sucker for minimal and clean packaging that looks good sitting on my vanity, so I was instantly drawn to this product. Seeing the word coconut on the front, I expected the product to have a coconut scent but it actually has no scent at all; good news for my readers out there who aren't a big fan of highly scented products. In terms of how it works, I find it sinks into my skin really easily and leaves me feeling super smooth and hydrated; and it's not surprising considering it contains natural coconut oil, macadamia oil, aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E - could you get more hydrated! I feel like this stuff would also make the perfect solution if you have a little sunburn.

    Biore Make-Up Removing Wipes
I'm a huge Biore fan, but I'd never tried any make-up wipes of theirs before, so I was really keen to give these a go. I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The wipes remove makeup with ease and do leave your skin feeling hydrated and clean. The only thing with these is they aren't the best for the eye area. I've had makeup wipes that are quite sensitive to the eyes and are fine to remove any excess eye makeup with, but I found these did sting my eyes a little, so I would avoid that area with these. Aside from this, I have to say I haven't been disappointed with Biore yet.

Palm Beach Collection Candles / Patchouli & Woods + Posy Standard
I recently talked about this brand's diffuser in my bathroom tour post and I have to say their candles are just as good. I've currently got these two scents burning in my house, and while they're quite different I love them both. The Patchouli & Wood is the same scent as the current diffuser I have; it's a more musky, masculine scent which I personally quite like. The Posy Standard sits in stark contrast to that in my opinion. As the name would suggest, it's more a floral, less imposing scent that is still really lovely but I find it's not as a strong. These candles burn really well and nice and evenly, which is really important for making sure you don't end up with a waste of wax at the end when the wicks will no longer burn properly. Definitely a brand I would recommend checking out in you're in the market for a new candle.

It's that time again where we delve into what Bellabox had in store for us this month.

    UV-IQ Anti-Pollution Facial Sunscreen Milk SPF50+
If it's Cancer Council endorsed then you know it has to be good. Not only will this facial sunscreen keep your skin protected from the sun, the UV-iQ also helps protect the skin against damage from pollution, the accentuating signs of ageing and also helps keep it hydrated. This stuff is unlike any sunscreen I've used before. It's super light weight compared to your average sunscreen and smells to me more like a high-end foundation than a sunscreen.

For us oily babes out there who's skin just won't stay matte, here's something to help combat it. Popping this over your foundation when you're doing your makeup, or using it for touch ups throughout the day, will help keep some of the oils at bay. I say 'some' because honestly nothing I've applied to my face has kept me 100% oil-free all day long, but it certainly does a better job than if I went without it. Sometimes I also like to use powders like this for days I don't want to much coverage, as these can give a nice sheer coverage just on their own with a little concealer.

ModelCo Luxe Creme Long Wear Lipstick / Amelia
For an affordable cosmetics brand, I've always been a bit of a fan of ModelCo. This lipstick is something I haven't tried before, but I've been impressed. The product glides on nice and easy and it also applies quite opaque without to much fuss. The shade I received is a dark nude/light brown colour; super easy to wear on the daily.

I have to say straight off the bat that I love the scent of this! There seems to be an even mix of coconut and lime scent that is more on the sweet side and reminds me of eating an ice block on a summer day. In terms of the product itself, it's nice and lightweight and sinks into the skin quite quickly and doesn't leave your hands feeling sticky.

    ModelCo Eye Lites Metallic Eyeshadow
This isn't the first time I've used these eyeshadows from ModelCo before. I find these apply really easily and the colour is really pigmented. I'm particularly a fan of this rose gold shade, I find it really easy to incorporate into a night time look, or even a day look if you're looking to jazz it up a little. You do need to be careful when applying these, especially to the eyelid, that the product doesn't start creasing to much as it dries - less is more with these babies.

As soon as I saw these overalls in the Cotton On store they reminded me of something you would grab from One Teaspoon (a brand I love!). These are something I think you're either going to love or hate, and clearly I love them. I think the zipper and tie up details are what really make this piece, and the while the legs aren't completely full length, the thick denim still keeps you warm which means I'll get plenty of wear out of them as we go into winter. I've also been obsessed with these sunglasses from Zaful. I use to stay right away from tortoise shell but I seem to be really into it lately.
