Tis' the season to get baking - and if gingerbread isn't quite your thing, these brownies might just hit that sweet spot this Christmas. Not to mention they're superrrr easy and fun to make.
WHAT YOU NEED
- A packet brownie mix
- Icing
- Green food colouring
- Sprinkles (containing stars if possible)
- Baking tray
- Baking paper
- Canola oil
WHAT TO DO
1. Remember to preheat your oven so you don't have to wait as long as for the brownie goodness to cook.
2. Cheat and buy a brownie mix from your local super market. Of course you don't have to be lazy like me and can make your own brownies but it just wasn't what I felt like doing on a Sunday afternoon. Follow the instructions on the packet to mix up your batter then put it into a baking tray already lined with baking paper and sprayed with a little canola oil to stop it from sticking.
3. After you've baked your brownie mix and given it time to cool, cut up your brownies into triangles to look like little trees.
4. It's time to start decorating! First grab some of the icing and add a drop or two of green food dye and mix it in.
5. Put your icing into a zip lock bag, seal the bag and cut off the corner to give yourself a make-shift piping bag (or use a real piping bag if you have one handy). Pip a zig zag across your triangle.
6. Grab your sprinkles and scatter them across the brownie, putting a star at the top if your sprinkles have them.
7. Eat all the sugary goodness!
