I'm no stranger to featuring this brand on my blog and I'm always excited to review some of their stuff because their products are always amazeballs. I've had a bit of a build up of Medik8 products on my desk lately so I figured it was about time to share some of the latest bits I've been loving from them.
Pore Cleanse Gel Intense
This cleanser aims to clear out pores and get rid of all that dirt and makeup. It contains red clover extract which is a skin-balancing botanical that helps to tightening pores and control skin oils. It also contains a blend of hydroxy acids (salicylic acid, lactic acid and mandelic acid) which help to, again, minimise your pores and control shininess if that proves to be an issue for you. On top of all of that, to make sure your skin stays hydrated, the cleanser contains glycerin. I found this smelt a bit chemically but also had some sweetness to the scent at the same time. I also found it foamed up really well so the description not only sounds impressive but it actually feels like it's doing something impressive to.
Pore Minimising Tonic
Once you're done cleansing, keep that oil free train going with their Pore Minimising Tonic. As well has having super cool packaging, this product has a combination of oil-controlling and gently exfoliating acids that help to flush oil from deep within the pores. Again this product also had red clover extract to help make sure your pores remain clean once they've been cleared out. Smelling straight from the bottle I couldn't tell if the scent was natural or a bit chemically and it's not exactly my favourite but overall this range isn't exactly going to have you feeling excited about their smells. For this brand it's a lot more about the results they produce than the scents that they create - and honestly most of them aren't too strong or don't linger after use. I found a little goes a long way with this product and that it is a little drying so definitely be sure to crack some moisturiser out after use.
Night Ritual Vitamin A Age-Defying Retinol Cream
If you're in the process of completing your night time skin care routine, the next thing you want to do is slap some of this stuff all over your face. Their Night Ritual Vitamin A cream contains, as you probably guessed, a bunch of rejuvenating vitamin A (also known as retinol) to deliver to your skin a powerful anti-ageing complex. This stuff will work while you sleep and you'll wake up with super hydrated and plump skin. The retinal also helps with making sure your pores stay decongestion and that oil is kept at bay. On an even cooler note, the cream uses advanced Time Release Technology so that the Vitamin A isn't just delivered to your face in one blast when you apply but is slowly released into the skin over time. I found this to have a bit more a natural scent to it that wasn't to strong. Applying to the skin it feels super smooth and sinks in really nicely - honestly love this stuff.
I'm never mad to add some new mask products to my collection, especially when they're this good. This mask will help to detoxify your skin with the product full of sustainably sourced activated bamboo charcoal that will soak up impurities and clarify your complexion. This stuff also won't suck all the moisture out of your skin thanks to the addition of some ultra-hydrating hyaluronic acid and deep-cleansing moringa extract. They also have these really cool looking bowls that you can mix the mask up in - feelin' just a little bit fancy.
