  • Brand Focus; Biologi

Ever since I started using serums I've been a big advocate for them. I find using them in my skincare routine makes such a big difference to my skin, particularly when it comes to evening out my skin tone. So when Biologi got in contact with me and wanted to send over some of their products, I was so excited.

First of all, the entire packaging and branding around this company is awesome. They just look so sleek and cool, and they're the type of products you want to proudly display on your vanity.

For those who haven't heard of or seen Biologi before, they're a brand that makes the worlds first 100% active ingredient and 100% natural plant serums. They are also sustainably sourced, with all the ingredients extracted, produced and packaged in Byron Bay / Northern Rivers region in Australia using certified organic native botanicals. They have three main serums, all for different skin areas, so keep on reading to find out more about them and my thoughts.

    Bd – Luminosity Face Serum

I feel like this is the one most people would be curious about and would consider buying, because face serums are what we're use to seeing on the market. This serum aims to help increase skin strength, hydration, natural skin glow and create a protection barrier against environmental factors and photosensitivity. It contains 100% davidson plum, phenolic acid, tartaric acid, anthocyanin and quercertin. I found this to be an oily product, which usually I don't get along with, but it's a super light oil so I was happy to test this on my skin. It has an orange scent that isn't to overpowering, which I really liked. I find I like to give the serum a minute to completely sink into my skin before going in with moisturiser and it seemed to stay a little sticker than some serums I'm use to using, but it didn't affect the application of my moisturiser, and once my routine was done I didn't actually feel sticky at all.

    Bf – Hydration Body Serum

The idea of a body serum was very intriguing to me. This stuff contains 100% finger lime, vitamin C, tryptophan, ferric acid and byangelican. This serum aims to help increase moisture rentntion in your skin, protect it from nasty environmental factors, increase collagen production, skin elasticity and suppleness, skin tone and brighten the skin. First thing I noticed was how soft even my hands were after I'd finished applying this stuff. You don't need a large amount, but while a little goes a long way, if you used this day and night over your entire body it wouldn't take long to use up. So I like to keep this for use on places like my shoulders as they are the most sun exposed part of my body each day, or if I'm having a really dry skin day in some area. I feel like this stuff would also be great for any redness from sunburn.
Lastly, their eye serum. I'm all about putting a product under my eyes day and night to help keep the skin hydrated and slow down the ageing process, because the skin under your eyes is super sensitive and can easily age. This serum contains 100% kakadu plum, vitamin C, gallic acid and ellagic acid. I found this to be much oiler than the face serum, however I didn't mind such consistency for under my eyes. However, once I applied and rub the serum in and let it settle, my under eyes didn't feel super oily, but actually quite soft. This is something I think I would stick to using in my night time routine so my under-eyes can really soak up the benefits as I sleep. Also, as with all their serums, a little goes a long way.
